Frequently Asked Questions
How much CNSS do I pay on a 12,000 MAD gross salary?
On a 12,000 MAD gross salary, the employee share is around 6.74%, roughly 530 MAD, after the 6,000 MAD cap applies to the short- and long-term branches. The employer share reaches about 21.09%, or 1,850 to 1,950 MAD. Total CNSS/AMO/TFP contributions exceed 2,400 MAD per month; the employee only sees the portion withheld on their payslip.
What is the CNSS contribution ceiling in 2026?
The capped salary subject to contributions is 6,000 MAD per month. It applies to short-term branches (IPE, sickness IJ, maternity IJ, death) and long-term branches (retirement, invalidity, survivors). Family allowances, AMO and TFP are calculated on the real salary with no cap.
Who qualifies for IPE (Job Loss Allowance)?
IPE is due to employees who accumulated 780 contribution days over the last 36 months, with at least 260 days in the last 12 months, who lost their job involuntarily and registered with ANAPEC. The amount is 70% of the average salary of the last three years, capped at SMIG, for a maximum of 6 months. The file must be submitted within a strict 60-day deadline.
How is the CNSS retirement pension calculated?
The CNSS retirement pension is computed from 3,240 contribution days (about 10.8 years): a 50% base rate on the reference wage, plus 1% per additional 216 days, capped at 70%. The reference wage is the average of the last 96 declared monthly salaries, capped at 6,000 MAD. Since Law 02.24 (May 2025), a flat 600 to 1,000 MAD pension is also paid between 1,320 and 3,239 contribution days.
How do I register with DAMANCOM as an employer?
Affiliation is filed at the CNSS branch of the company's headquarters with form Ref. 322-1-11, trade register, manager's CIN, professional tax, RIB and company articles. Once the affiliation number is issued, the employer subscribes to DAMANCOM, signs the e-services agreement and receives credentials. All monthly declarations (BDS) and payments are handled exclusively through the portal.
