BerryEnergy
AI assistant specialized in solar PV and electricity self-production in Morocco (law 82-21, decree 2-25-100).
BerryEnergy
Hi, I'm BerryEnergy. I can size your solar installation, estimate your payback, check which regulatory regime applies under law 82-21, and decode your ONEE/Lydec/Redal/Amendis bill. Where would you like to start?
How to use BerryEnergy
Share your city, annual kWh consumption, meter type (LV, MV, HV) and distributor (ONEE, Lydec, Redal, Amendis).
BerryEnergy sizes your system: recommended kWp, roof area used, expected annual production.
Adjust the target self-consumption ratio and optional battery, then receive CAPEX, payback, 25-year IRR and the applicable law 82-21 regime.
Download a PDF recap and follow the context-specific follow-ups suggested by the assistant.
Why BerryEnergy?
Up-to-date law 82-21 framework
Includes decree 2-25-100 (Official Gazette 7489, 5 March 2026), the 3 regimes (declaration, approval, authorization) and the ANRE surplus buyback tariff 2026-2027 (0.21 / 0.18 MAD/kWh).
City-calibrated sizing
Specific yield calibrated for Casablanca, Rabat, Tangier, Marrakech, Agadir, Ouarzazate, Laayoune, Fes. kWp, panel count, roof area, optional battery.
Realistic ROI
2026 CAPEX (7,000 to 12,000 MAD/kWp), ONEE tiered tariffs, hourly MV option, 20% injection cap, degradation, inverter replacement year 11.
Subsidies and taxation
Maps TATWIR Green Growth (Maroc PME), Tamwilcom guarantees, bank green loans, PV VAT (10%), Finance Law 2026 customs duty, accelerated amortization under CGI art. 10.
Frequently asked solar self-production questions
Can I sell solar surplus to ONEE on residential LV in 2026?
Not yet. Decree 2-25-100 (Official Gazette 7489, March 2026) frames LV self-production under 11 kW as a declaration regime, but the ANRE buyback tariff published in early 2026 (0.21 MAD/kWh peak, 0.18 MAD/kWh off-peak) only covers MV distribution, HV and EHV. For residential LV in 2026, the business case relies on self-consumption alone. A dedicated LV order is expected.
Which regime applies to a 50 kWp SME project?
Between 11 kW and 5 MW you fall under the connection-approval regime. File a technical dossier with your distributor (ONEE, Lydec, Redal, Amendis), with a 3-year consumption forecast. The distributor answers within 60 days for MV and 30 days for LV. Surplus cession contract capped at 20% of annual production.
What payback for 5 kWp residential in Casablanca?
With a 1,600 kWh/kWp/yr yield, a 40,000 MAD turnkey CAPEX, a 70% self-consumption ratio and the marginal ONEE tier (1.20 to 1.42 MAD/kWh), the simple payback is typically 6 to 8 years. The 25-year IRR exceeds 10% even without surplus sale. The ONEE tariff reform scheduled for 1 March 2027 is an unmodelled upside.
Which documents for LV declaration under 11 kW?
Distributor declaration form, ID card copy and proof of ownership or syndic approval for condominiums, single-line diagram, panel and inverter datasheets, conformity certificate signed by a certified installer, IEC 62446 commissioning report, planning permission if the building is listed.
Which subsidies for a 2026 PV install?
For an SME (10-200 MDH turnover), TATWIR Green Growth (Maroc PME) can fund 30% of the equipment, capped at 2 MDH, after an energy audit. Banks (AWB, BP, BMCE-BOA, CIH, Credit Agricole) offer green loans with Tamwilcom guarantee. No AMEE cash rebate for residential in 2026. PV VAT is 10%, PV customs duty raised to 10% in Finance Law 2026.
